too bad the dredging ship isn't in it but only as a picture Sad
Also too bad that when you aren't playing a mission there are no other ships.

holy crud thats an insane internet speed!! my download isn't much faster than your upload. Geez i need your upload as i'm always uploading videos and it takes forever

Yeah, would be nice to have the 100/100 option for servers but it's just a tad bit pricy at $80 a month Sad

Haha nice one Alex!

I recently got a NVidia GTX 260 Overclocked edition which runs shipsim on almost everything on high. I could run everything maxed out, but my CPU and RAM claw me back now

Ohh well, I'll be getting a Core i7.... hopefully... one day in the very distant future

Yeah the card I have is comparable to the 260 (if i remember it correctly), tried it online too with around 10 people and there ware no issues what so ever, not even the solent which I wasn't even able to load before hehe

The i7 will probebly be worth it in the distant future when programs/games are able to handle more then 4 threads but at the moment, the only program I've seen so far that handles 4 threads is professional software like Inventor and the lot. Those still dont take advantage of the 8 threads of the i7 Sad

Have an i7 at work and I didn't see enough performance increase, not even on a program like Inventor, to pay that extra price for any of the "i" processors.

I'm also using the new computer right now. Handles SS2008 with everything on max (including view distance etc) without any noticed drop in performance. It's at 1920X1080 on my 40 inch HD tv, awsome combo I must say! Smiley

My connection isn't bad either  Grin

If your budget can handle it, I would suggest going for a intel core i3 or i5. They are much more powerful than the 755 sockets, but obviously more expensive Smiley

Yeah I know, I do use Autodesk Invetor which uses 4 cores, so thats why I went for a quad core Smiley

Looks good, i reccomend a dual core processor as most programs/games can't use 4 cores, but its up to you.

Can't seem to post the specs, it won't let me Sad

Well my laptop just can't handle newer games (never bought it to be able to though Wink) so I've invested in a new computer, not a super computer by any means but it should handle a few games Smiley

Case: In-Win J649 ATX Midi Tower Black
PSU: Silver Power SP-SS500, 500W
Mobo: Gigabyte GA-EP45-UD3LR, P45, Socket-775
CPU: Intel Core 2 Quad Q9400 2,66GHz, Socket 775, 6MB, 1333MHz
Memory: Corsair TWIN2X 6400 DDR2, 4096MB CL5 (slower then the mobo handles but it's alot less money)
Graphics: PowerColor Radeon HD 5770 1GB GDDR5 PCI-Express 2.0, DVI-I, HDMI
Harddrive: Hitachi Deskstar P7K1000 500GB, 7200RPM,16MB Cache, SATA (getting more later on for a raid 1 or 10 setup )

And then just a simple dvd burner, thinking of getting a blueray whenever they get a drop in the price Smiley

This one should at least be able to run shipsim which i've struggled with before, well actually my laptop did, not me heh

Edit, might it be a symbol error?

Edit 97: Indeed it was!  Doh!
